Because of lockdown we did not have many options of where to go for our summer holiday. Going abroad would require going into quarantine so that was not practical.
So within the UK we thought we could visit the city of ... Liverpool. Why?
1. We've never been there before
2. It has the oldest Chinatown in the UK, even in Europe!
3. It's famous for the Beatles, Mersey, Liverpool and Everton football clubs
4. It is, actually WAS, a world heritage site for its historical docks
5. It is a big city with the hustle and bustle that we as a family enjoy walking around
6. There are lots of museums, particularly FREE ones :)
Sun 22 Aug: Drive up
We set off around 11am after having to wait for the car to get the windscreen changed. It had a MASSIVE crack on the passenger side and we didn't want to be driving 4+ hours to Liverpool and suddenly the crack
