Dad's section:
Children had their regular Kung Fu session with Ana then afterwards we learned that there was an event at the G-Live called "Innovate Guildford" so we when directly there. Parking at the York Road multi-storey car park, we found a back way through the Allen House Grounds with the 2 shiny ball ornaments at the centre of a sort of garden maze:
We finished off the outing with a MacDonalds because Marco would have been moody otherwise! Because we had limited time at the car park, we decided to have it as a take-away where dad and twins would get back to the car and drive to the town centre while Mummy and Kar Kay would walk to MacDonalds, order the food and get picked up to take it home. What good teamwork!
On Sunday, we had a lovely lazy morning with a special dumpling lunch put on by mummy. They were delicious with 2 types: one was pan fried and the other set were steamed. I think we all agreed that the pan fried dumplings tasted better.
After a lot of nagging from all the children to "go somewhere", Dad decided that an outing to a National Trust and somewhere to take bicycles too. He remembered a place near Guildford that had free public parking and was along the side of a long bicycle path (or bridalway) which is believed to be a disused railway track going from Guildford all the way to Brighton/Shoreham called the "Downs Link". It was also along the way to National Trust Winkworth Arboretum in Godalming so we decided to go there first:
What a lovely place with loads of trees and flowers such as the Magnolias and fragrant white flowers! On the way back we DID decide to stop over at the car park by the Downs Link and giving a little persuasion for Mummy, we could take out the bikes and scooter from the car boot and tried a bit of cycling! There was quite a busy road between the car park and the cycle track which was a bit dangerous but the track itself seemed very good, not too bumpy, straight and wide with quite a few other cyclists, joggers and walkers too.
We came home have done lots of exercise and Mummy cooked a lovely spaghetti bolognese :)
Jasmine's section:
I found two nice looking rainbow leaves and me, Marco and Kar-kay played in the wooden play area at the National Trust Winkworth Arboretum.
I liked going to G Live, although we couldn't go to the escape room in the end because we were too late but we did get look around inside. It was quite small and I imagine 5 of us would be squished in that space.
We also went to a big tent, called a planetarium, and learnt about the Northern Star and different pictures in the night sky using stars. One day we will go out in the night sky to see the difference constellations in real life!
